Winning with Wellbeing: Preparing to be Your Best Self
Just as Olympic athletes integrate wellness practices into their training, it is essential for higher education professionals to pursue holistic wellness. Presentation topics may include strategies for maintaining a balanced lifestyle and practical tools and insights to foster a supportive work environment.
Training for Gold in Your Sport: Advising Special Populations
Our advisees often belong to multiple populations that need specialized training and support. Topics may include advising strategies for transfer students, student-athletes, students on academic warning or dismissal, etc. Additionally, topics could cover current research on advising these students.
Winning Strategies: Intentional Advising for Transformational Experiences
Advising techniques to support student success are as diverse as the students themselves. Topic ideas may include, but are not limited to, coaching strategies, appreciative advising, meeting students where they are, creating a safe advising environment, identifying and incorporating student strengths in advising appointments, recognizing advisor and advisee bias, practicing empathy, and using career assessments to support advising.
Championing Leadership: Pathways for Advisor Success
Are you considering advancing to the next level in your career but unsure where to start your training?
